The e-book sales rise should not surprise anyone, but the sales figures did leave me with some questions.
Was total sales of combined book formats up or down? Did e-books create new readers or did readers just switch formats?
HC sales were up. What caused that, Lost Symbol, the HC price war between Wal Mart and other retailers, or something else?
Mass Market sales were down. Are readers willing to pay $9.99 for a e-book rather than wait to pay less for the paperback edition?
