Thank you, Cory Doctorow, for once again painfully oversimplifying the position of someone you disagree with, thereby unleashing a self-satisfied stream of ignorant Boing Boing comments. This debate sinks lower and lower.
For the chance of reasoned discussion, check out Bill Patry’s new book (link in my name). Patry is a Googlehead law-talkinig guy and someone I don’t always agree with on copyright, but he has great things to say about tactics like Doctorow’s — moral panics, he calls them, and yesterday in Toronto, referring to both extreme copyright and copyleft rhetoricians he said “A pox on both their houses.”
