“Canadian comic book awards, the Joe Shusters”
Sigh. Joe Shuster moved to Cleveland when he was ten. Is this another instance of the heartrending Canadian pathology of “claiming”?

We’re not related, but Obama and I lived in the same state for more than 20 years…is that a close enough connection? I should at least get a personalized rejection letter out of that.

As long as Alan Moore, the elder statesman of comic book writing, is penning lines like this bit of genius:
“Beneath me, this awful city, it screams like an abattoir full of retarded children,”
one can call a spade whatever one wants, but come back tomorrow and it’ll still be a spade.
