Peter has left the dojo

Hey all,

This is my last Bookninja post. I’m increasingly busy with my various projects, and unfortunately, something has to give. I’ll be focusing on my own writing for the next little while (I’ve just finished my second book and I’m starting my third) as well as running the books section at the Vancouver Province and writing freelance pieces.

It’s been a fun three years since I started the site with George, and I’ve enjoyed watching it evolve, as much from the participation of all you readers as anything George, Kathryn and I have done. I’ll certainly miss being a part of Bookninja, but I know I leave it in good hands.

I’ll still be online at peterdarbyshire.com/blog, although my posts there are less book-focused and more culture-related. I won’t be posting on a daily basis, so it’s best just to subscribe to the RSS feed.

Of course, I’ll continue to read Bookninja along with the rest of you. I’ll see you in the comments.

  1. George says:

Crazy days. When Peter told me about this last month, I nearly plotzed. But when we started Bookninja, we had no idea what a time hog it would become, so I totally respect and understand (and envy) his decision. Truth be told, the world needs more books from him more than it needs blog posts.

    Thanks, Pete, for everything.

  2. Kathryn says:

All the best with your new novel, Peter; I can’t wait to read it. Our house will be buying two copies. With Please, I had to endure Marc laughing out loud (a rare event, let me tell you) while he read it and I cursed myself for letting him get to it first. Thank you for the opportunity here at Bookninja. K.

  3. Dave Worsley says:

    All the best, Peter.

  4. Vic says:

The Vancouver Province has a book section?

  5. John Boutilier says:

    Thanks Peter.

Am looking forward to your new book. Your first was stellar.

    Best of Luck,

    John.

  6. Brenda Schmidt says:

Yes, your first book was fantastic, Peter. I look forward to the next. Good luck!

  7. Peter says:

    Thanks y’all.
