I have a day long meeting today, after which I head back into the bizarre torture contraption that is the Air Canada network of flights. I should be home by Tuesday. Pray for Mojo.
- Lawrence Hill and Naomi Klein pick up awards from booksellers at BEC
- Harry Potter breaks 400 million copies?
- Copernicus book apparently centre of someone’s universe
- Speaking of expensive books..

- You can now eat in Toronto libraries… just when I though certain patrons couldn’t get more disgusting, a whole new avenue for revulsion presents itself

The TPL’s services and collections are already quite spectacular. What’s alarming is their push towards this ‘relaxed atmosphere,’ which has had the opposite effect for me. The internet access offered by the TPL is already largely misused, by patrons as well as parents who leave their children idle in the computer labs. Add to this list the most typical Vin Diesel Hollywood crap on the DVD shelves (next to abysmal documentary sections) and a sad magazine selection, made up of People, EW, The Source, etc…and now, the smell of burgers and fries… I like an occasional action flick and a burger, don’t get me wrong, I just don’t seek these things when I go to the library…
