I don’t know that any of these could ever replace my Ikea Billy shelves. At least pricewise. They’ve been with me since my poverty began.

RE: “How to design bookshelves layouts ”
Well, what do expect from a designer named Boozer.
But danm, I was hoping to see tips on how to surreptiously take your books and put them cover out in a book stores, or switch them with a pile of Anne Enright’s or Ken Follet’s books at the front of the store.

Anti-bookshelves, do you mean? My librarian grandmother is growing uneasy in her grave. I suspect that the weight of the books is holding my bookshelves together and I much prefer them. Books as home fashion acessory – bah, humbug!

All I want is a place to keep my books. Somewhere that is easily accessible and arranged/organised in such a way as to make the books useable. I guess a personal library would be great. I’ll have to find out if my fiancee (a librarian) is OK with finding that work followed her home. hmmm.
